This page exists because the most common question we get is the simplest one: what does it actually cost. Below are twenty real Bengaluru trips with the fare our booking system quotes for each, so you can size the thing before you commit to anything.
The short version is that a city ride starts at ₹450 and the number does not move with the clock. There is no surge, so the same trip costs the same at 10am and at 7pm — only the drive time changes.

Hiring the car by the hour
If the car needs to wait for you, or the day has four stops in it, book by the hour instead of by the trip. ₹550 an hour in Bengaluru, with unlimited kilometres — no 80 km cap, no per-kilometre meter running in the background.

How a city ride works
- Ten minutes of free waitingAfter that it is ₹100 per 15 minutes. The clock starts at your booked pickup time, not when the car arrives.
- Free cancellation up to an hour beforeInside the last hour it is ₹150. Once the pickup time has passed it is more — the exact figure is on each city page below.
- Toll and parking are charged as usedA city ride fare covers the trip. Any toll or parking on the way is added at actual cost. Airport transfers work differently — those quotes are all-in.

Frequently asked questions
Why does a short Bengaluru trip cost ₹450 no matter how short it is?
₹450 is the floor. Koramangala to Indiranagar is 5 km and HSR to Koramangala is 4 km, and both quote ₹450. Below about 12 km the distance stops mattering — you are paying for a trained chauffeur to hold a car for your slot.
Is Shoffr cheaper than an Uber across Bengaluru?
Not usually, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What you get for the difference is a fare that does not surge, a chauffeur who is employed rather than logged in, and a booking that was confirmed before it was accepted. For a quick hop across town at the cheapest price, use an aggregator.
Is the fare fixed?
Yes. Shoffr does not have surge pricing, so the fare is the same at any hour. It changes only if you add a stop or alter the route. Toll and parking on a city ride are charged as used.
Which car will I get?

Can I book at short notice?
We suggest booking three to four hours ahead, and further ahead during peak hours. Shoffr is pre-booked only — there is no car-in-three-minutes button.
Should I book a trip or hire by the hour?
Book a trip if you know both ends and you are going once. Hire by the hour if the car needs to wait for you, or if there are several stops. Hourly hire has unlimited kilometres, so a day of running around usually works out simpler.
Can I travel with my pet?
Yes — Shoffr is officially pet-friendly. Indicate pets while booking; a deep-cleaning fee of ₹500 for cats and ₹750 for dogs applies.
