Banjara Hills to Hyderabad airport
Banjara Hills is 33 km from the airport on the PVNR expressway, and on a clear morning that is a 36-minute drive. In the evening peak it is closer to 61.
That 25-minute swing is the largest of any central Hyderabad locality, and almost all of it is spent before the car reaches the expressway.

The route
PVNR Elevated Expressway
Banjara Hills to Masab Tank and Mehdipatnam, onto the PVNR elevated expressway over Rethibowli and Attapur, down at Aramghar onto NH-44, then the airport approach road.
The expressway itself is 11.6 km of signal-free deck with speed dropping to 40 kmph at three curves. The delay is always at the Mehdipatnam ramp mouth, never on the deck.

At Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

Departures drop is at Level E, the upper forecourt. Cars may pull up to set down but not wait.
What is happening on this route
The KBR Park flyover and underpass package has excavation live at the KBR main entrance, Indo-American Cancer Hospital, Maharaja Agrasen Junction, Film Nagar and Jubilee Hills Check Post. Target completion is December 2028.
As of July 2026Traffic police have published 08:30–11:00 and 17:00–21:00 as the bad windows for Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills while these works run. Note the morning window runs to 11:00, later than a normal office peak.
As of June 2026Diversions at Banjara Hills Road No. 2 have been in force since February 2026 with no published end date, pushing some traffic out via Srinagar Colony and Ameerpet.
As of February 2026The Mehdipatnam multi-level flyover is under construction at the mouth of the PVNR expressway, hitting the Masab Tank, Rethibowli and Nanal Nagar junctions. This is the one to plan around, because every Banjara Hills airport trip passes through it.

The ring road is the reason the west side is predictable
The Outer Ring Road is grade-separated with no signals, a 120 kmph limit and an 80 kmph minimum in the fast lanes, and two- and three-wheelers are banned from it. Any locality whose route is mostly ORR — Gachibowli, Financial District, Kokapet, Manikonda, Kondapur — varies by only a few minutes across the whole day. Localities that cross the city do not.
2026 is a heavy construction year
The IIIT Junction flyovers on the IT corridor, the KBR Park package through Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills, the Mehdipatnam multi-level flyover at the mouth of the expressway, and the Uppal elevated corridor are all live at once, with completion dates from December 2026 to December 2028. Each locality page below says which of these sits on your route.

Why is the evening drive 61 minutes when the morning is 40?
The expressway is the same at both hours. What differs is Masab Tank and Mehdipatnam, where the flyover works and the evening peak land on the same junctions. The price is identical either way — you pay ₹1,200 whether it takes 36 minutes or 61.
Is there a toll on the PVNR expressway?
It runs toll-free, and in any case nothing is added to your fare. The number at checkout is the number you pay.
Where exactly will the car be at Hyderabad airport?
At Point D, just past the Uber bay. Collect your luggage and call your chauffeur — he brings the car to Point D and loads the bags.
Does the fare change at 5am, or in the evening peak?
No. Shoffr does not have surge pricing, so the fare is fixed whatever time you travel. It changes only if you add a stop or alter the route.

What happens if my flight is late?

We suggest booking three to four hours ahead, and further ahead during peak hours. Shoffr is pre-booked only — there is no car-in-three-minutes button.
