Warangal is about 148 km from Hyderabad on NH163 — two and a half to three hours on a good four-lane highway. It is the easiest outstation run we do from the city, and the round trip fits comfortably inside a single charge.
The Kakatiya sites are the reason to go: the Thousand Pillar Temple and Warangal Fort in the city, and the UNESCO-listed Ramappa temple about 66 km further out.

No charging stop is needed. The round trip is about 296 km against a measured highway range of 380–420 km with the air conditioning on and a full load. If you are adding Ramappa or going on towards Mulugu, Warangal has a 60 kW round-the-clock fast charger on the Parkal road — worth using before heading out, because charging past Warangal on NH163 is thin.

What to know about this drive
- Ramappa temple at Palampet is about 66 km beyond Warangal and open 06:00 to 18:00. Allow roughly four hours from Warangal for the round trip and a proper look.
- The Medaram Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara draws crowds measured in crores and makes the whole Hanamkonda–Mulugu axis unusable for a leisure trip. It is biennial — the last was January 2026 and the next is in 2028, so it does not affect trips in between.
- Leaving Hyderabad via the ORR Ghatkesar exit avoids the worst of the city-side traffic on this corridor.

Is the Medaram Jatara happening this year?
No. The Jatara is biennial — the last was in January 2026 and the next falls in 2028. During Jatara weeks the entire Warangal to Mulugu corridor is best avoided for a leisure trip.
Can I book a cab for Warangal sightseeing after the drop?
