- The island museum is closed on Fridays and national holidays. A Friday trip to Nagarjuna Sagar is largely pointless — we will say so when you book rather than after.
- In flood season, when Srisailam upstream releases water, sightseers come to watch the crest gates and the approach can jam for kilometres. If you are travelling in August or September, an early weekday arrival is much better than a weekend one.
