Bidar is about 145 km from Hyderabad — NH44 as far as Zaheerabad, then west across the Karnataka border. Two and a half to three hours, four-lane most of the way and decent single carriageway after that.
It is the most under-rated day trip out of Hyderabad. The fort is enormous and largely empty of visitors, the Bahmani tombs are extraordinary, and Nanak Jhira Sahib draws a steady stream of pilgrims. And the round trip fits inside a single charge.

Charging on the Hyderabad to Bidar route
No charging stop is needed. The round trip is about 290 km against a measured highway range of 380–420 km with the air conditioning on and a full load, so we do the whole day on one charge from Hyderabad. That is the plan by design: there is exactly one fast charger our cars can use in the whole of Bidar district, so we do not build a trip that needs it.

What to know about this drive
- Zaheerabad at about 80 km is the natural break — the dhabas there are the traditional stop on this road.
- The route crosses into Karnataka after Zaheerabad. Carry nothing special; the paperwork is ours, not yours.
- Bidar Fort deserves two to three hours on its own. Adding the Bahmani tombs at Ashtur and Nanak Jhira Sahib makes a comfortable full day rather than a rushed one.
