Delhi NCR · Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL)
East Delhi to Delhi airport
Mayur Vihar is 34 km from Terminal 3, and the trip crosses the Yamuna and the whole of central Delhi. Forty-three minutes at 5am, 75 in the evening peak.
The Barapullah corridor is meant to fix exactly this journey. It is not open yet.
What it costs
Quoted for Mayur Vihar Phase 1 Metro Station on 1 August 2026. Your exact pickup address will shift it a little, which is why the button above gives you the real number for your trip.
Shoffr does not have surge pricing, so this fare is the same at 5am as it is at 7pm. It changes only if you add a stop or alter the route. What changes with the hour is how long the drive takes.

The route
Sarai Kale Khan and the Ring Road
Mayur Vihar across the Yamuna at Nizamuddin or via Akshardham to Sarai Kale Khan, then the Ring Road west past Moolchand and Dhaula Kuan.
The Nizamuddin Bridge to Sarai Kale Khan stretch is on the Delhi Traffic Police congestion list and it is unavoidable from this side.
Where the car meets you
In Mayur Vihar and east Delhi
Pocket and phase. Mayur Vihar's phases are separated by main roads and the pockets within them repeat their letters.
At Indira Gandhi International Airport
At Terminal 3 the car meets you in the Multi-Level Car Park opposite arrivals, over the covered footbridge. At Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 it is the second lane for commercial cars.
Collect your luggage and call your chauffeur. He brings the car round and loads the bags. Fifteen minutes of waiting is included on every airport pickup.
Departures drop is on the upper forecourt. Delhi airport does not charge cars for the departures kerb.
Delhi runs all three terminals again since Terminal 2 reopened in October 2025, and several airlines moved. Air India domestic flights numbered AI1xxx leave from T2, Air India Express AI9xxx from T1, and the rest from T3. Confirm your terminal on the boarding pass before you leave.
What is happening on this route
Barapullah Phase 3, linking Mayur Vihar to Sarai Kale Khan and AIIMS, was targeted for June 2026 and reported as possibly August 2026. It would take about fifteen minutes off this trip. We are not planning around it until it opens.
As of August 2026The Chilla elevated road, which would relieve the Delhi–Noida link on this side, was 47% complete in April 2026 with a July 2027 target.

GRAP restrictions do not apply to our cars
When Delhi's air quality plan reaches Stage III or Stage IV, restrictions fall on BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel vehicles, and on trucks and commercial vehicles by fuel type. Every stage that names a permitted fuel type names electric. Our fleet is battery-electric, so a GRAP invocation does not stop your car turning up. Stage III was imposed three times between November 2025 and January 2026, so this is not a theoretical point.
December and January mean fog
Delhi airport runs CAT III instrument landings on all three main runways, but heavy fog still cuts it to about thirty landings an hour. On 31 December 2025 that meant 78 arrivals and 70 departures cancelled, with conditions clearing only around 1pm. Share your flight number when you book and we will track it and hold the car as long as we can.
The evening is worse than the morning here
Measured across the city, Delhi's evening rush runs about 32 minutes per 10 km against 26 in the morning. The per-locality timings on these pages reflect that, and it is why our evening-peak numbers look pessimistic.
Frequently asked questions
Will the new Barapullah link help?
It should, by around fifteen minutes, once it opens. It was targeted for mid-2026 and we have not seen it confirmed open. Until then we plan on the numbers above.
Where exactly will the car be at Delhi airport?
For Terminal 3 it is the Multi-Level Car Park opposite arrivals, over the covered footbridge. For Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 it is the second lane for commercial cars. Collect your luggage and call your chauffeur.
Does the fare change at 5am, or in the evening peak?
No. Shoffr does not have surge pricing, so the fare is fixed whatever time you travel. It changes only if you add a stop or alter the route.
Which car will I get?
A BYD e6 — a silent, Innova-sized electric SUV that seats 4 adults with 4 large suitcases. Same car every time, so you know what is arriving.
What happens if my flight is late?
Share your flight number when you book and we will do our best to keep the car waiting for you. Fifteen minutes of waiting is included and a small charge applies after that. If the delay starts to affect other guests' trips, we may have to cancel.
Can I book at short notice?
We suggest booking three to four hours ahead, and further ahead during peak hours. Shoffr is pre-booked only — there is no car-in-three-minutes button.
